Peppermint Crisp Chocolate Log

This little post has apparently had 190 views in the past week! So I thought I’d share it again. Not my recipe, but very tasty indeed. Gosh, 4 years flew by. I think it’s time to make it again. Leave your thought/comments if you made it and what you think.

I have to be honest and admit I’ve only made this once, but it has got to be just about the easiest non-baked treat I’ve come across. A friend recently shared the original link on Facebook (you can follow Chocolate Goose on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/chocolategoose?ref=hl) and it looked so delicious I had to give it a go. It didn’t last very long either so it will definitely be made again, and again, and again…you get the picture ;).

If you can’t find Peppermint Crisp chocolate bars (they hail from South Africa and we are lucky to be able to get them from a few SA shops in Auckland), then perhaps peppermint Aero or any delicious minty chocolate might do the trick.

I also realise this has nothing to do with Easter, and although I was planning on doing another Easter themed treat, this log got the better of me so please…

4-ingredient Chocolate Fudge

Fudge always goes down well, whether for school fétes, church bazaars, fund raisers or "just because...". This was one of those "just because" moments. The freedom of doing something simply because I can and want to is exhilarating and then of course, the simple joy of eating and sharing the fudge afterwards. You need to… Continue reading 4-ingredient Chocolate Fudge

Coconut Fudge Balls

This past week a friend and I were chatting and she told me I've become a true Soccer Mum. We laughed at the time, but I suppose she's right, and I'll wear that badge proudly. Growing up all I really wanted was to be a Mother. I used to watch all the other mothers of kids… Continue reading Coconut Fudge Balls

Apricot Fudge

A friend recently asked for a few ideas for a school cake sale and it got me thinking. So many ideas out there and so many resources, but how many of us have the time these days to actually make something from beginning to end and package it beautifully to attract the attention it deserves,… Continue reading Apricot Fudge

Chocolate Chunky Fudge

My little boy came home from school today asking if we could make chocolate fudge - I, of course, thought that was a great idea!  I am one of the world's great chocolate lovers and can't think when I've turned down or disliked a bit (or a lot) of chocolate in any way, shape or… Continue reading Chocolate Chunky Fudge

Caramel and White Chocolate Fudge

Fudge can be a tricky treat as you're working with sugar and sugar is not always a willing participant. Sugar needs to reach a very high temperature before it caramelises, but the trickiness is that it can seize/crystalise) and if this happens, I've been known to empty out the pot into the bin and start… Continue reading Caramel and White Chocolate Fudge
